When pursuing a degree in today’s world, veterans have many different options to choose from. College Factual has developed its “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Health Science” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.
In 2020-2021, 35,945 people earned their degree in health sciences and services, making the major the 34th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, health sciences and services graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $35,887 and had an average of $24,736 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 4,460 health sciences and services graduates with average earnings and debt of $30,351 and $23,540 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Health Science” ranking analyzed 39 colleges that offered a degree in health sciences and services. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent health sciences and services programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

Located in College Station, Texas, this large public school awarded 326 degrees to qualified ’s health science students in 2020-2021.
