This large school is located in Richmond, Virginia, and it awarded 7 masters’s substance abuse/addiction counseling degrees in 2020-2021.
In addition to being on our southeast region master’s degree vets studying substance abuse/addiction counseling list, VCU has also earned the #1 rank in our “Best Substance Abuse/Addiction Counseling Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 1 of the 29,070 students enrolled at Virginia Commonwealth University were GI Bill® students, of which 2 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The school came in at #2 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Substance Abuse/Addiction Counseling for a Master’s. Liberty University is a large school located in Lynchburg, Virginia that handed out 39 masters’s substance abuse/addiction counseling degrees in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at Liberty University, the school also landed the #3 spot in our “Best Substance Abuse/Addiction Counseling Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking.Among the 93,349 students enrolled at Liberty University, 13,282 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 8,897 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $4,888. During this same period, 386 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Liberty University offers credit for military training for eligible students.

The school came in at #3 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Substance Abuse/Addiction Counseling for a Master’s. Palm Beach Atlantic University is a small private not-for-profit school situated in West Palm Beach, Florida. It awarded 3 masters’s substance abuse/addiction counseling degrees in 2020-2021.
Palm Beach Atlantic also made our “Best Substance Abuse/Addiction Counseling Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” list, coming in at #4.Among the 3,704 students enrolled at Palm Beach Atlantic, 123 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
