Top 10 Best Nursing Schools for Non-Traditional Students
Oklahoma Panhandle State University has taken the #1 spot in this year's nursing ranking for non-traditional students. OPSU is a small public school located in the rural area of Goodwell. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, OPSU has also earned the #6 rank in our Best Colleges for Nursing in Oklahoma ranking.
The student loan default rate at OPSU is lower than is typical, just 3.1% of students default in three years. Approximately 804 students take at least one class online at OPSU. About 374 of the students at OPSU are attending part time.

Our rankings recognize Southwestern Oklahoma State University as the #2 school in this year's rankings. SWOSU is a small public school located in the remote town of Weatherford. SWOSU also made our Best Colleges for Nursing in Oklahoma list, coming in at #3.
About 2.4% of SWOSU students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. Approximately 1,912 students take at least one class online at SWOSU. There are roughly 1,114 part time students in attendance at SWOSU.

Located in the town of Bartlesville, OKWU or OWU is a private not-for-profit school with a fairly small student population. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, OKWU or OWU has also earned the #9 rank in our Best Colleges for Nursing in Oklahoma ranking.
The student loan default rate at OKWU or OWU is lower than is typical, just 1.8% of students default in three years. There are approximately 338 students at OKWU or OWU that take at least one class online. There are roughly 294 part time students in attendance at OKWU or OWU.

Northeastern State University earned the #4 spot in our 2021 rankings. NSU is a moderately-sized public school located in the town of Tahlequah. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, NSU has also earned the #8 rank in our Best Colleges for Nursing in Oklahoma ranking.
