Out of the majors we analyze each year, nursing was the most popular one in Texas. In total, 12,253 people earned their bachelor's degree in the field from a school in Texas. This means that colleges and universities in the state were responsible for awarding 7.5% of all the nursing bachelor's degrees in the country.

The University of Texas at Arlington tops the 2021 list of our schools in Texas that are best for non-traditional nursing students. UT Arlington is a very large public school located in the large city of Arlington. UT Arlington also made our Best Colleges for Nursing in Texas list, coming in at #4.
About 1.4% of UT Arlington students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. 17,309 students at UT Arlington are exclusively online. 22,217 students are part time.

Texas Woman's University earned the #2 spot in our 2021 rankings. Located in the city of Denton, TWU is a public college with a large student population. TWU not only placed well in our non-traditional rankings. It is also #8 on our Best Colleges for Nursing in Texas list.
About 1.5% of TWU students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. 6,914 students at TWU are exclusively online. There are roughly 7,329 part time students in attendance at TWU.
