For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for Registered Nursing” ranking, we looked at 267 colleges that offer a degree in registered nursing. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great registered nursing programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

Out of the 267 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for Registered Nursing that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Michigan - Ann Arbor landed the #1 spot on the list. U-M is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 157 ’s registered nursing degrees to qualified students.

Alverno College came in at #24 in this year’s edition of the Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for Registered Nursing ranking. Alverno College is a small private not-for-profit school situated in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It awarded 117 ’s registered nursing degrees in 2020-2021.
Alverno did well in our major quality rankings, too.
