In 2020-2021, 20,393 people earned their degree in pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences, making the major the 53rd most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $95,543 and had an average of $23,251 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 5,388 pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences graduates with average earnings and debt of $95,383 and $21,515 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Pharmacy Schools in the Southeast Region For Those Getting Aid” ranking analyzed 34 colleges that offered a degree in pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences program at the school and the cost to attend the school once aid has been awarded. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Florida. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Best Value Pharmacy Schools in the Southeast Region For Those Getting Aid list. University of Florida is a large school located in Gainesville, Florida that handed out 614 ’s pharmacy degrees in 2020-2021.
