In 2020-2021, 20,393 people earned their degree in pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences, making the major the 53rd most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $95,543 and had an average of $23,251 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 5,388 pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences graduates with average earnings and debt of $95,383 and $21,515 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 976 pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,400 and $27,180 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Pharmacy for a Bachelor’s” ranking analyzed 11 colleges that offered a degree in pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

This large school is located in University, Mississippi, and it awarded 109 bachelors’s pharmacy degrees in 2020-2021.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at Ole Miss, the school also landed the #2 spot in our “Best Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Sciences Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking.According to our most recent data, Ole Miss supports 21,014 students, and 46 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 22 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $11,346. On top of their other funding sources, 0 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Samford University is a medium-sized school located in Birmingham, Alabama that handed out 118 bachelors’s pharmacy degrees in 2020-2021.

Samford also took the #4 spot in our “Best Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Sciences Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking.Of the 5,729 students enrolled at Samford, 162 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. UGA also made our “Best Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Sciences Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” list, coming in at #3.Our most recent data shows that 9 of the 39,147 students enrolled at UGA were GI Bill® students, of which 3 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Monroe, Louisiana is the setting for this medium-sized institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelors’s pharmacy degrees to 75 students in 2020-2021.

ULM also made our “Best Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Sciences Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” list, coming in at #8.Among the 8,888 students enrolled at ULM, 268 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
