In 2020-2021, 20,393 people earned their degree in pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences, making the major the 53rd most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $95,543 and had an average of $23,251 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southwest region, there were 1,525 pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences graduates with average earnings and debt of $112,930 and $18,720 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Pharmacy for a Doctorate” ranking, we looked at 14 colleges that offer a degree in pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

UOHSC is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and, has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 52 doctorate’s pharmacy degrees to qualified students.

UOHSC did well in our major quality rankings, too. University of the Incarnate Word is a private not-for-profit institution located in San Antonio, Texas. The school has a medium-sized population, and it awarded 77 doctorate’s degrees in 2020-2021.
