Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for Public Health Education and Promotion for a Bachelor’s” ranking is one tool we have developed to help in this regard.
In 2020-2021, 4,563 people earned their degree in public health education and promotion, making the major the 165th most popular in the United States.
Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 635 public health education and promotion graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $0 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 412 public health education and promotion graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,457 and $25,851 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for Public Health Education and Promotion for a Bachelor’s” ranking, we looked at 15 colleges that offer a degree in public health education and promotion. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality public health education and promotion programs as well as strong veteran support.

It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for Public Health Education and Promotion for a Bachelor’s list. American University is a fairly large private not-for-profit school situated in Washington, District of Columbia. It awarded 8 bachelors’s public health education and promotion degrees in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at The American University, the school also landed the #1 spot in our “Best Public Health Education and Promotion Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region” ranking.Of the 14,001 students enrolled at American University, 613 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Temple University. The school came in at #2 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for Public Health Education and Promotion for a Bachelor’s. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelors’s public health education and promotion degrees to 122 students in 2020-2021.
Temple also took the #2 spot in our “Best Public Health Education and Promotion Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 830 of the 37,236 students enrolled at Temple were GI Bill® students, of which 510 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
