Public Health is the 26th most popular major in the country with 40,596 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, public health graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $43,158 and had an average of $27,396 in loans still to pay off.
At the associate degree level specifically, there were 764 public health graduates with average earnings and debt of $35,806 and $19,336 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly for Public Health for an Associate” ranking analyzed 55 colleges that offered a degree in public health. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent public health programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
