In 2020-2021, 40,596 people earned their degree in public health, making the major the 26th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, public health graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $43,158 and had an average of $27,396 in loans still to pay off.
Across Ohio, there were 1,028 public health graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,701 and $30,562 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Ohio for Public Health” ranking looked at 18 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in public health. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality public health programs as well as strong veteran support.

Top 18 Best Public Health Colleges for Veterans in Ohio
Out of the 18 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in Ohio for Public Health that were part of this year’s ranking, Ohio State University - Main Campus landed the #1 spot on the list. Columbus, Ohio is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s public health degrees to 196 students in 2020-2021.

Berea, Ohio is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out ’s public health degrees to 32 students in 2020-2021.
