Health Professions is one of the most popular majors in the nation, ranking 2nd of all the majors we analyze. In 2020-2021, 977,800 degrees were awarded to students with this major. In 2019-2020, health professions graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $47,927 and had an average of $20,846 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Plains States region, there were 81,887 health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $50,339 and $25,248 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 12,802 health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,723 and $22,140 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Health Professions for an Associate” ranking, we looked at 115 colleges that offer a degree in health professions. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great health professions programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the health professions program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
