It’s not easy to decide which college to attend when there so many options available for veterans. Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Health Professions” ranking is one tool we have developed to help in this regard.

In 2020-2021, 977,800 health professions students received their degree, making the major the 2nd most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, health professions graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $47,927 and had an average of $20,846 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 250,124 health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $44,702 and $20,498 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Health Professions” ranking analyzed 517 colleges that offered a degree in health professions. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great health professions programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the health professions program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran satisfaction. See our ranking methodology to learn more.
