When it comes to choosing a college, veterans have a lot of options - but not all of them are good. College Factual has developed its “Most Veteran Friendly in Ohio for Legal Support” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.

In 2020-2021, 11,545 people earned their degree in legal support services, making the major the 106th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, legal support services graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $31,370 and had an average of $27,882 in loans still to pay off.

Across Ohio, there were 536 legal support services graduates with average earnings and debt of $28,941 and $28,127 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Ohio for Legal Support” ranking, we looked at 9 colleges that offer a degree in legal support services. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent legal support services programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the legal support services program at the school. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.

Out of the 9 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in Ohio for Legal Support that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Cincinnati - Main Campus landed the #1 spot on the list. University of Cincinnati - Main Campus is a large school located in Cincinnati, Ohio that handed out 22 ’s legal support degrees in 2020-2021.

UC did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Of the 40,826 students enrolled at University of Cincinnati - Main Campus, 909 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 498 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $7,806. On top of their other funding sources, 15 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

With a freshman retention rate of 88%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its undergraduate students. The low undergrad student loan default rate of [DEFAULT_RATE_STRING]% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. University of Toledo is a fairly large public school situated in Toledo, Ohio. It awarded 33 ’s legal support degrees in 2020-2021.

University of Toledo did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Our most recent data shows that 510 of the 18,319 students enrolled at University of Toledo were GI Bill® students, of which 232 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Located in Kent, Ohio, this large public school handed out 25 degrees to qualified ’s legal support students in 2020-2021.

This fairly large school is located in Cleveland, Ohio, and it awarded 53 ’s legal support degrees in 2020-2021.
