Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Legal Support” ranking is one tool we have developed to help in this regard.

Legal Support Services is the 106th most popular major in the country with 11,545 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, legal support services graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $31,370 and had an average of $27,882 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Plains States region, there were 559 legal support services graduates with average earnings and debt of $31,915 and $31,419 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Legal Support” ranking looked at 10 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in legal support services. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent legal support services programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the legal support services program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran satisfaction. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at Anoka Technical College, the school also landed the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Among the 1,683 students enrolled at Anoka Technical College, 65 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Des Moines Area Community College. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Legal Support list. This large school is located in Ankeny, Iowa, and it awarded 38 ’s legal support degrees in 2020-2021.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at DMACC, the school also landed the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.According to our most recent data, DMACC supports 23,051 students, and 500 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 221 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Out of the 10 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Legal Support that were part of this year’s ranking, Minnesota State University - Moorhead landed the #4 spot on the list. Moorhead, Minnesota is the setting for this medium-sized institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s legal support degrees to 18 students in 2020-2021.

MSU Moorhead also made our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list, coming in at #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS].Of the 5,547 students enrolled at Minnesota State University - Moorhead, 99 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 40 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $3,920. In addition to receiving other benefits, 0 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

Rasmussen University - Minnesota is a small private for-profit school situated in St. Cloud, Minnesota. It awarded 30 ’s legal support degrees in 2020-2021.

Rasmussen University - Minnesota did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Our most recent data shows that 14 of the 3,927 students enrolled at Rasmussen University - Minnesota were GI Bill® students, of which 13 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Metropolitan Community College - Kansas City landed the #9 spot on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Legal Support ranking. Metropolitan Community College - Kansas City is a fairly large school located in Kansas City, Missouri that handed out 23 ’s legal support degrees in 2020-2021.

MCC also took the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Of the 13,085 students enrolled at MCC, 100 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 76 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $1,977. During this same period, 0 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. MCC does offer credit for military training for eligible students.
