In 2020-2021, 61,055 people earned their degree in legal professions, making the major the 16th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, legal professions graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $47,649 and had an average of $28,699 in loans still to pay off.
Across Michigan, there were 1,718 legal professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $44,563 and $23,699 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Michigan for Legal Professions” ranking looked at 10 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in legal professions. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great legal professions programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

This large school is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and it awarded 381 ’s legal professions degrees in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at U-M, the school also landed the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Among the 47,907 students enrolled at U-M, 570 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
