Across the Southwest region, there were 51,191 general studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $0 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 3,296 general studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,112 and $26,227 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for General Studies for a Bachelor’s” ranking, we looked at 24 colleges that offer a degree in general studies. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality general studies programs as well as strong veteran support.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of St. Thomas. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for General Studies for a Bachelor’s list. UST is a private not-for-profit institution located in Houston, Texas. The school has a small population, and it awarded 44 bachelors’s degrees in 2020-2021.
