With 556,813 degrees handed out in 2020-2021, liberal arts general studies is the 1st most popular major in the United States. In 2019-2020, liberal arts general studies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $28,337 and had an average of $17,430 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Far Western US region, there were 142,446 liberal arts general studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $27,412 and $14,920 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 75,349 liberal arts general studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,803 and $17,868 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Far Western US Region for Liberal Arts for an Associate” ranking analyzed 94 colleges that offered a degree in liberal arts general studies. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent liberal arts general studies programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
