In 2020-2021, 556,813 liberal arts general studies students received their degree, making the major the 1st most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, liberal arts general studies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $28,337 and had an average of $17,430 in loans still to pay off.
Across Washington, there were 17,409 liberal arts general studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $27,491 and $13,986 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 16,515 liberal arts general studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $41,435 and $16,352 respectively.
