In 2020-2021, 556,813 liberal arts general studies students received their degree, making the major the 1st most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, liberal arts general studies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $28,337 and had an average of $17,430 in loans still to pay off.
Across New Jersey, there were 9,638 liberal arts general studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $28,695 and $16,311 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in New Jersey for Liberal Arts” ranking analyzed 25 colleges that offered a degree in liberal arts general studies. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great liberal arts general studies programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

Out of the 25 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in New Jersey for Liberal Arts that were part of this year’s ranking, Fairleigh Dickinson University - Metropolitan Campus landed the #1 spot on the list. Teaneck, New Jersey is the setting for this medium-sized institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out ’s liberal arts degrees to 371 students in 2020-2021.

This medium-sized school is located in Camden, New Jersey, and it awarded 47 ’s liberal arts degrees in 2020-2021.
