With 556,813 degrees handed out in 2020-2021, liberal arts general studies is the 1st most popular major in the United States. In 2019-2020, liberal arts general studies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $28,337 and had an average of $17,430 in loans still to pay off.
Across Utah, there were 13,370 liberal arts general studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $26,320 and $13,311 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Utah for Liberal Arts” ranking looked at 8 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in liberal arts general studies. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great liberal arts general studies programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

Top 8 Best Liberal Arts General Studies Colleges for Veterans in Utah
Out of the 8 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in Utah for Liberal Arts that were part of this year’s ranking, Utah Valley University landed the #1 spot on the list. Utah Valley University is a public institution located in Orem, Utah. The school has a large population, and it awarded 5,458 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.
UVU did well in our major quality rankings, too. Located in Cedar City, Utah, this fairly large public school handed out 929 degrees to qualified ’s liberal arts students in 2020-2021.

Dixie State College not only placed well in this ranking.
