In 2020-2021, 5,696 people earned their degree in library and information science, making the major the 134th most popular in the United States.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for Library and Information Science for a Master’s” ranking looked at 10 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in library and information science. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent library and information science programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

LIU Post is a fairly large private not-for-profit school situated in Brookville, New York. It awarded 46 masters’s library and information science degrees in 2020-2021.
LIU Post not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #4 on our “Best Library & Information Science Master’s Degree Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region” list.Our most recent data shows that 53 of the 15,066 students enrolled at LIU Post were GI Bill® students, of which 48 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
