You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Texas Woman’s University. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Texas for Library and Information Science for a Master’s list. This fairly large school is located in Denton, Texas, and it awarded 238 masters’s library and information science degrees in 2020-2021.
TWU did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #1 on our “Best Library & Information Science Master’s Degree Schools in Texas” list.Of the 16,433 students enrolled at TWU, 495 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 251 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $5,466. On top of their other funding sources, 0 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. TWU offers credit for military training for eligible students.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend University of North Texas. The school came in at #2 for the Most Veteran Friendly in Texas for Library and Information Science for a Master’s. Denton, Texas is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s library and information science degrees to 252 students in 2020-2021.
UNT did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #2 on our “Best Library & Information Science Master’s Degree Schools in Texas” list.According to our most recent data, University of North Texas supports 40,953 students, and 2,038 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 1,138 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $9,999. On top of their other funding sources, 0 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. University of North Texas does offer credit for military training for eligible students.
With a freshman retention rate of 85%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its undergraduate students.

The school came in at #3 for the Most Veteran Friendly in Texas for Library and Information Science for a Master’s. Located in Huntsville, Texas, this large public school handed out 66 degrees to qualified masters’s library and information science students in 2020-2021.
SHSU also took the #3 spot in our “Best Library & Information Science Master’s Degree Schools in Texas” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 1,092 of the 21,912 students enrolled at Sam Houston State University were GI Bill® students, of which 496 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $6,097. During this same period, 0 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Sam Houston State University does offer credit for military training for eligible students.

The school came in at #4 for the Most Veteran Friendly in Texas for Library and Information Science for a Master’s. Texas A&M Commerce is a fairly large public school situated in Commerce, Texas. It awarded 54 masters’s library and information science degrees in 2020-2021.
Texas A&M Commerce not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #4 on our “Best Library & Information Science Master’s Degree Schools in Texas” list.Of the 12,249 students enrolled at Texas A&M Commerce, 594 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 337 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $5,401. To help with additional expenses, 0 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.
