You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Oklahoma Norman Campus. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Library Science for a Master’s list. University of Oklahoma Norman Campus is located in Norman, Oklahoma and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 79 masters’s library science degrees to qualified students.
University of Oklahoma also made our “Best Library Science Master’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list, coming in at #4.Among the 27,772 students enrolled at University of Oklahoma, 12 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 10 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $3,720. During this same period, 0 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

UNT is a large school located in Denton, Texas that handed out 252 masters’s library science degrees in 2020-2021.
UNT not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #2 on our “Best Library Science Master’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list.Among the 40,953 students enrolled at University of North Texas, 2,038 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. The school came in at #5 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Library Science for a Master’s. Huntsville, Texas is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s library science degrees to 66 students in 2020-2021.

Out of that number, 496 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $6,097. On top of their other funding sources, 0 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Northeastern State University came in at #7 in this year’s edition of the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Library Science for a Master’s ranking. Tahlequah, Oklahoma is the setting for this medium-sized institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s library science degrees to 13 students in 2020-2021.
NSU not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #7 on our “Best Library Science Master’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list.Our most recent data shows that 304 of the 7,349 students enrolled at Northeastern State University were GI Bill® students, of which 118 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $3,801. On top of their other funding sources, 1 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Northeastern State University offers credit for military training for eligible students.
The low undergrad student loan default rate of [DEFAULT_RATE_STRING]% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. For comparison, the national default rate is 10.1%.
