Mathematics is the 35th most popular major in the country with 30,202 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, mathematics graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $45,168 and had an average of $21,863 in loans still to pay off.

Across Oregon, there were 390 mathematics graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,431 and $23,584 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 333 mathematics graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,095 and $25,983 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Oregon for Math for a Bachelor’s” ranking analyzed 5 colleges that offered a degree in mathematics. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent mathematics programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $8,835. To help with additional expenses, 100 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Corvallis, Oregon is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelors’s math degrees to 62 students in 2020-2021.

Oregon State also made our “Best Mathematics Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Oregon” list, coming in at #2.According to our most recent data, Oregon State University supports 32,312 students, and 1,559 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 1,000 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. UO is a public institution located in Eugene, Oregon. The school has a large population, and it awarded 73 bachelors’s degrees in 2020-2021.

UO not only placed well in this ranking.
