It’s not easy to decide which college to attend when there so many options available for veterans. College Factual was founded, in part, to help students make the decision as to what would be the best school for them. Our “Most Veteran Friendly for Marine Science” ranking is part of that endeavor.
Marine Science is the 295th most popular major in the country with 334 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, marine science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $26,266 and had an average of $22,416 in loans still to pay off.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly for Marine Science” ranking, we looked at 16 colleges that offer a degree in marine science. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great marine science programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.
Some of the factors we look at when determining these rankings are overall quality of the marine science program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran population. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
