In 2019-2020, science, technology and society graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $41,177 and had an average of $22,529 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 494 science, technology and society graduates with average earnings and debt of $44,829 and $17,485 respectively.

The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great science, technology and society programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

Out of the 5 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for Science, Tech & Society that were part of this year’s ranking, Georgetown University landed the #1 spot on the list. Washington, District of Columbia is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out ’s science, tech and society degrees to 132 students in 2020-2021.
Georgetown not only placed well in this ranking. The school came in at #2 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for Science, Tech & Society. Carnegie Mellon is a fairly large private not-for-profit school situated in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It awarded 4 ’s science, tech and society degrees in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at Carnegie Mellon, the school also landed the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 117 of the 13,519 students enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University were GI Bill® students, of which 72 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Located in Farmingdale, New York, this medium-sized public school awarded 293 diplomas to qualified ’s science, tech and society students in 2020-2021.
