Located in Austin, Texas, this large public school awarded 39 diplomas to qualified bachelors’s phys ed students in 2020-2021.
UT Austin not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #1 on our “Best Sports Kinesiology and Physical Education/Fitness General Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list.Among the 50,476 students enrolled at The University of Texas at Austin, 7 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. It is also #4 on our “Best Sports Kinesiology and Physical Education/Fitness General Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list.Of the 1,664 students enrolled at Lubbock Christian University, 52 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. The school came in at #3 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Physical Education for a Bachelor’s. DBU is a small private not-for-profit school situated in Dallas, Texas. It awarded 22 bachelors’s phys ed degrees in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at DBU, the school also landed the #3 spot in our “Best Sports Kinesiology and Physical Education/Fitness General Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” ranking.Among the 4,247 students enrolled at Dallas Baptist University, 200 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Cameron University is a public institution located in Lawton, Oklahoma. The school has a small population, and it awarded 40 bachelors’s degrees in 2020-2021.

It placed #9 on our “Best Sports Kinesiology and Physical Education/Fitness General Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list.Our most recent data shows that 892 of the 3,771 students enrolled at Cameron University were GI Bill® students, of which 284 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The school came in at #5 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Physical Education for a Bachelor’s. Baylor is located in Waco, Texas and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 83 bachelors’s phys ed degrees to qualified students.
Baylor also made our “Best Sports Kinesiology and Physical Education/Fitness General Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list, coming in at #2.Our most recent data shows that 876 of the 19,297 students enrolled at Baylor University were GI Bill® students, of which 593 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $17,744. During this same period, 263 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Concordia University, Texas is a small school located in Lakeway, Texas that handed out 14 bachelors’s phys ed degrees in 2020-2021.

Prairie View A & M University is a public institution located in Prairie View, Texas. The school has a medium-sized population, and it awarded 107 bachelors’s degrees in 2020-2021.

With a ranking of #8, Oklahoma Panhandle State University did quite well on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Physical Education for a Bachelor’s list. OPSU is a small school located in Goodwell, Oklahoma that handed out 25 bachelors’s phys ed degrees in 2020-2021.
OPSU also made our “Best Sports Kinesiology and Physical Education/Fitness General Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list, coming in at #8.According to our most recent data, Oklahoma Panhandle State University supports 1,337 students, and 25 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 13 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Howard Payne University landed the #9 spot on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Physical Education for a Bachelor’s ranking. This small school is located in Brownwood, Texas, and it awarded 17 bachelors’s phys ed degrees in 2020-2021.

Ada, Oklahoma is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelors’s phys ed degrees to 52 students in 2020-2021.
In addition to being on our southwest region bachelor’s degree vets studying physical education list, ECU has also earned the #5 rank in our “Best Sports Kinesiology and Physical Education/Fitness General Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 185 of the 3,608 students enrolled at ECU were GI Bill® students, of which 52 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $3,245. During this same period, 0 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. ECU does offer credit for military training for eligible students.
