At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 963 health and physical education graduates with average earnings and debt of $35,293 and $28,603 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in South Carolina for Phys Ed for a Bachelor’s” ranking looked at 12 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in health and physical education. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent health and physical education programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Citadel Military College of South Carolina. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in South Carolina for Phys Ed for a Bachelor’s list. The Citadel is a small public school situated in Charleston, South Carolina. It awarded 43 bachelors’s phys ed degrees in 2020-2021.
The Citadel not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #1 on our “Best Health & Physical Education Bachelor’s Degree Schools in South Carolina” list.Our most recent data shows that 607 of the 3,740 students enrolled at The Citadel were GI Bill® students, of which 382 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $7,997. In addition to receiving other benefits, 12 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. The school came in at #2 for the Most Veteran Friendly in South Carolina for Phys Ed for a Bachelor’s. UofSC is a large public school situated in Columbia, South Carolina. It awarded 220 bachelors’s phys ed degrees in 2020-2021.
UofSC not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #2 on our “Best Health & Physical Education Bachelor’s Degree Schools in South Carolina” list.Of the 35,470 students enrolled at University of South Carolina - Columbia, 1,609 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
