In 2020-2021, 67,146 people earned their degree in health and physical education, making the major the 11th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, health and physical education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $31,386 and had an average of $24,576 in loans still to pay off.

Across Texas, there were 7,228 health and physical education graduates with average earnings and debt of $32,588 and $22,725 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 5,950 health and physical education graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,932 and $25,894 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Texas for Phys Ed for a Bachelor’s” ranking analyzed 43 colleges that offered a degree in health and physical education. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent health and physical education programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

Dallas Baptist University landed the #25 spot on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Texas for Phys Ed for a Bachelor’s ranking. DBU is located in Dallas, Texas and, has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 38 bachelors’s phys ed degrees to qualified students.

DBU not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #19 on our “Best Health & Physical Education Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Texas” list.According to our most recent data, Dallas Baptist University supports 4,247 students, and 200 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 150 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
