In 2020-2021, 67,146 people earned their degree in health and physical education, making the major the 11th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, health and physical education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $31,386 and had an average of $24,576 in loans still to pay off.
Across South Carolina, there were 1,163 health and physical education graduates with average earnings and debt of $29,497 and $27,775 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in South Carolina for Phys Ed” ranking looked at 13 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in health and physical education. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent health and physical education programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Citadel Military College of South Carolina. The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in South Carolina for Phys Ed. This small school is located in Charleston, South Carolina, and it awarded 58 ’s phys ed degrees in 2020-2021.
