Culinary Arts is the 97th most popular major in the country with 19,806 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, culinary arts graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $24,855 and had an average of $17,765 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 5,131 culinary arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $21,782 and $19,450 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 1,687 culinary arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $34,328 and $20,384 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Culinary Arts for an Associate” ranking analyzed 45 colleges that offered a degree in culinary arts. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great culinary arts programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.
