In 2020-2021, 19,993 people earned their degree in philosophy and religious studies, making the major the 28th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, philosophy and religious studies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $31,946 and had an average of $22,275 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Great Lakes region, there were 1,995 philosophy and religious studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $29,796 and $24,444 respectively.

University of Notre Dame is a private not-for-profit institution located in Notre Dame, Indiana. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 54 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.

Franciscan University of Steubenville is located in Steubenville, Ohio and, has a small student population.
