Our mission at College Factual is to arm you with as much information as we can to help you make that decision. Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the Rocky Mountains Region for Chemistry” ranking is one tool we have developed to help in this regard.
Chemistry is the 51st most popular major in the country with 21,239 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, chemistry graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $40,656 and had an average of $22,680 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Rocky Mountains region, there were 689 chemistry graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,582 and $22,924 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Rocky Mountains Region for Chemistry” ranking looked at 13 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in chemistry. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent chemistry programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the chemistry program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

Top 13 Best Chemistry Colleges for Veterans in the Rocky Mountains Region
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Colorado Boulder. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Rocky Mountains Region for Chemistry list. CU - Boulder is a public institution located in Boulder, Colorado. The school has a large population, and it awarded 55 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.
CU - Boulder did well in our major quality rankings, too. UW is a fairly large public school situated in Laramie, Wyoming. It awarded 20 ’s chemistry degrees in 2020-2021.
In addition to being on our rocky mountains region vets studying chemistry list, UW has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.According to our most recent data, University of Wyoming supports 11,829 students, and 473 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 255 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $3,738. During this same period, 13 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

Bozeman, Montana is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s chemistry degrees to 48 students in 2020-2021.

U of I did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Our most recent data shows that 382 of the 10,791 students enrolled at U of I were GI Bill® students, of which 248 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
