Criminal Justice & Corrections is one of the most popular majors in the nation, ranking 7th of all the majors we analyze. In 2020-2021, 113,121 degrees were awarded to students with this major. In 2019-2020, criminal justice and corrections graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $35,465 and had an average of $25,425 in loans still to pay off.
Across Connecticut, there were 1,270 criminal justice and corrections graduates with average earnings and debt of $35,333 and $28,553 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Connecticut for Criminal Justice” ranking analyzed 14 colleges that offered a degree in criminal justice and corrections. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent criminal justice and corrections programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend University of New Haven. The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in Connecticut for Criminal Justice. University of New Haven is a medium-sized private not-for-profit school situated in West Haven, Connecticut. It awarded 410 ’s criminal justice degrees in 2020-2021.
University of New Haven did well in our major quality rankings, too. Quinnipiac is a private not-for-profit institution located in Hamden, Connecticut. The school has a medium-sized population, and it awarded 51 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.

Western Connecticut State University ranked #6 on this year’s Most Veteran Friendly in Connecticut for Criminal Justice list. Located in Danbury, Connecticut, this small public school handed out 102 diplomas to qualified ’s criminal justice students in 2020-2021.
In addition to being on our connecticut vets studying criminal justice list, WestConn has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Of the 5,246 students enrolled at Western Connecticut State University, 119 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 83 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $9,114.
