In 2020-2021, 113,121 criminal justice and corrections students received their degree, making the major the 7th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, criminal justice and corrections graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $35,465 and had an average of $25,425 in loans still to pay off.

Across Alabama, there were 1,495 criminal justice and corrections graduates with average earnings and debt of $35,544 and $31,520 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Alabama for Criminal Justice” ranking, we looked at 15 colleges that offer a degree in criminal justice and corrections. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent criminal justice and corrections programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Alabama at Birmingham. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Alabama for Criminal Justice list. University of Alabama at Birmingham is a large school located in Birmingham, Alabama that handed out 101 ’s criminal justice degrees in 2020-2021.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at UAB, the school also landed the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Among the 22,563 students enrolled at University of Alabama at Birmingham, 1,194 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
