In 2020-2021, 141,695 general psychology students received their degree, making the major the 4th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, general psychology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $30,326 and had an average of $26,018 in loans still to pay off.

Across Indiana, there were 1,890 general psychology graduates with average earnings and debt of $29,587 and $26,809 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Indiana for Psychology” ranking, we looked at 25 colleges that offer a degree in general psychology. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent general psychology programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
