In 2020-2021, 195,678 psychology students received their degree, making the major the 8th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, psychology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $35,611 and had an average of $25,989 in loans still to pay off.
Across Vermont, there were 436 psychology graduates with average earnings and debt of $34,145 and $26,107 respectively.

Top 6 Best Psychology Colleges for Veterans in Vermont
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Norwich University. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Vermont for Psychology list. This small school is located in Northfield, Vermont, and it awarded 31 ’s psychology degrees in 2020-2021.
Norwich also made our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list, coming in at #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS].Of the 3,975 students enrolled at Norwich, 822 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 569 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $6,528. On top of their other funding sources, 55 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Students may be able to receive credit for their military training, depending on their background.

Out of the 6 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in Vermont for Psychology that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Vermont landed the #2 spot on the list. University of Vermont is a public institution located in Burlington, Vermont. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 165 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.
UVM also made our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list, coming in at #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS].Of the 13,292 students enrolled at University of Vermont, 218 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 142 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $10,767.
