With 195,678 degrees handed out in 2020-2021, psychology is the 8th most popular major in the United States. In 2019-2020, psychology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $35,611 and had an average of $25,989 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 38,923 psychology graduates with average earnings and debt of $31,532 and $27,634 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Psychology” ranking, we looked at 229 colleges that offer a degree in psychology. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent psychology programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
