With 205,984 degrees handed out in 2020-2021, social sciences is the 5th most popular major in the United States. In 2019-2020, social sciences graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $36,262 and had an average of $23,306 in loans still to pay off.

Across Colorado, there were 3,590 social sciences graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,565 and $23,909 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Colorado for Social Sciences” ranking, we looked at 15 colleges that offer a degree in social sciences. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality social sciences programs as well as strong veteran support.

CU - Boulder is a large school located in Boulder, Colorado that handed out 946 ’s social sciences degrees in 2020-2021.

CU - Boulder also made our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list, coming in at #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS].Of the 37,437 students enrolled at University of Colorado Boulder, 1,379 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 968 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $12,889. To help with additional expenses, 46 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

Out of the 15 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in Colorado for Social Sciences that were part of this year’s ranking, Colorado State University - Fort Collins landed the #2 spot on the list. Colorado State University - Fort Collins is a large public school situated in Fort Collins, Colorado. It awarded 548 ’s social sciences degrees in 2020-2021.

Denver, Colorado is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out ’s social sciences degrees to 449 students in 2020-2021.

DU did well in our major quality rankings, too.
