It’s not easy to decide which college to attend when there so many options available for veterans. College Factual has developed its “Most Veteran Friendly in Iowa for Community Organization” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.
Community Organization & Advocacy is the 169th most popular major in the country with 3,096 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, community organization and advocacy graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $38,265 and had an average of $26,263 in loans still to pay off.
Across Iowa, there were 30 community organization and advocacy graduates with average earnings and debt of $27,625 and $26,230 respectively.
Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent community organization and advocacy programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

Out of the 1 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in Iowa for Community Organization that were part of this year’s ranking, Des Moines Area Community College landed the #1 spot on the list. Des Moines Area Community College is a large school located in Ankeny, Iowa that handed out 21 ’s community organization degrees in 2020-2021.
