You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Boston College. The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Social Work for a Doctorate. Located in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, this fairly large private not-for-profit school handed out 9 degrees to qualified doctorate’s social work students in 2020-2021.

Boston College also took the #2 spot in our “Best Social Work Doctor’s Degree Schools in the New England Region” ranking.Of the 14,934 students enrolled at Boston College, 170 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 100 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $17,142. To help with additional expenses, 64 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

New Haven, Connecticut is the setting for this medium-sized institution of higher learning. The public school handed out doctorate’s social work degrees to 14 students in 2020-2021.

SCSU also took the #5 spot in our “Best Social Work Doctor’s Degree Schools in the New England Region” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 301 of the 9,331 students enrolled at Southern Connecticut State University were GI Bill® students, of which 202 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $10,110. During this same period, 1 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program.
