Social Work is the 13th most popular major in the country with 58,326 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, social work graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $37,651 and had an average of $26,679 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Rocky Mountains region, there were 2,624 social work graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,144 and $24,446 respectively.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Utah. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Rocky Mountains Region for Social Work for a Master’s list. University of Utah is a public institution located in Salt Lake City, Utah. The school has a large population, and it awarded 188 masters’s degrees in 2020-2021.

DU is located in Denver, Colorado and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 500 masters’s social work degrees to qualified students.
DU did well in our major quality rankings, too. This fairly large school is located in Laramie, Wyoming, and it awarded 24 masters’s social work degrees in 2020-2021.
