This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Fashion Studies” ranking looked at 11 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in fashion design. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent fashion design programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the fashion design program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

Top 11 Best Fashion Design Colleges for Veterans in the Southwest Region
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Arizona State University - Tempe. The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Fashion Studies. Arizona State University - Tempe is a large public school situated in Tempe, Arizona. It awarded 64 ’s fashion studies degrees in 2020-2021.
ASU - Tempe did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Of the 74,795 students enrolled at ASU - Tempe, 7,566 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Located in San Antonio, Texas, this medium-sized private not-for-profit school handed out 6 diplomas to qualified ’s fashion studies students in 2020-2021.
In addition to being on our southwest region vets studying fashion studies list, UIW has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 1,174 of the 7,917 students enrolled at UIW were GI Bill® students, of which 761 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Baylor University landed the #8 spot on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Fashion Studies ranking. Baylor is located in Waco, Texas and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 10 ’s fashion studies degrees to qualified students.
Baylor did well in our major quality rankings, too.
