Across the New England region, there were 1,952 design and applied arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $35,122 and $26,301 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 264 design and applied arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,618 and $16,599 respectively.

This ranking identifies schools with high-quality design and applied arts programs as well as strong veteran support.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Springfield Technical Community College. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Design for an Associate list. STCC is a small school located in Springfield, Massachusetts that handed out 13 associates’s design degrees in 2020-2021.

In addition to being on our new england region associate degree vets studying design list, STCC has also earned the #2 rank in our “Best Design & Applied Arts Associate Degree Schools in the New England Region” ranking.Of the 4,327 students enrolled at STCC, 154 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 80 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $3,577. To help with additional expenses, 2 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Students may be able to receive credit for their military training, depending on their background.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend New England Institute of Technology. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Design for an Associate list. New England Institute of Technology is located in East Greenwich, Rhode Island and, has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 51 associates’s design degrees to qualified students.

New England Tech did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #1 on our “Best Design & Applied Arts Associate Degree Schools in the New England Region” list.Our most recent data shows that 259 of the 2,031 students enrolled at New England Tech were GI Bill® students, of which 135 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $14,686. On top of their other funding sources, 34 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program.

The undergraduate student-to-faculty ratio of 10 to 1 is a sign that students will have more opportunities to engage with their professors one-on-one. The low undergrad student loan default rate of [DEFAULT_RATE_STRING]% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. For comparison, the national default rate is 10.1%.
