Our mission at College Factual is to arm you with as much information as we can to help you make that decision. Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Music Composition” ranking is one tool we have developed to help in this regard.
In 2020-2021, 1,175 people earned their degree in music theory and composition, making the major the 390th most popular in the United States.
Across the Southeast region, there were 72 music theory and composition graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $0 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Music Composition” ranking, we looked at 14 colleges that offer a degree in music theory and composition. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great music theory and composition programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Florida State University. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Music Composition list. Florida State University is located in Tallahassee, Florida and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 14 ’s music composition degrees to qualified students.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Belmont University. The school came in at #2 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Music Composition. Belmont University is located in Nashville, Tennessee and, has a medium-sized student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 8 ’s music composition degrees to qualified students.
In addition to being on our southeast region vets studying music composition list, Belmont has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Among the 8,204 students enrolled at Belmont University, 343 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Stetson University landed the #8 spot on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Music Composition ranking. Stetson is a small school located in DeLand, Florida that handed out 4 ’s music composition degrees in 2020-2021.
In addition to being on our southeast region vets studying music composition list, Stetson has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.According to our most recent data, Stetson supports 4,462 students, and 48 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 34 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. TNU did well in our major quality rankings, too.
