Illinois State is a fairly large public school located in the midsize suburb of Normal. Illinois State also took the #2 spot in our Best Colleges for Music in Illinois rankings.

Western Illinois University comes in at #2 in this year's ranking. Located in the remote town of Macomb, WIU is a public college with a medium-sized student population. WIU did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #5 on our Best Colleges for Music in Illinois list.
