University of Utah tops the 2021 list of our schools in the Rocky Mountains Region that are best for non-traditional music students. Located in the city of Salt Lake City, U of U is a public college with a very large student population. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, U of U has also earned the #1 rank in our Best Colleges for Music in the Rocky Mountains Region ranking.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 0.8%. There are approximately 19,378 students at U of U that take at least one class online. There are roughly 7,185 part time students in attendance at U of U.

The #2 spot in this year's ranking belongs to University of Colorado Boulder. Located in the midsize city of Boulder, CU - Boulder is a public school with a very large student population. CU - Boulder also made our Best Colleges for Music in the Rocky Mountains Region list, coming in at #2.
The student loan default rate at CU - Boulder is lower than is typical, just 1.1% of students default in three years. Approximately 24,299 students take at least one class online at CU - Boulder. 7,631 of CU - Boulder students are attending part time.

Colorado State is a fairly large public school located in the medium-sized city of Fort Collins. Colorado State not only placed well in our non-traditional rankings. It is also #3 on our Best Colleges for Music in the Rocky Mountains Region list.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at CU Anschutz, the school also landed the #6 rank in our Best Colleges for Music in the Rocky Mountains Region ranking.
