Music is the 43rd most popular major in the country with 25,910 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, music graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $27,160 and had an average of $24,560 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 2,896 music graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,339 and $23,625 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Music for a Master’s” ranking, we looked at 26 colleges that offer a degree in music. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality music programs as well as strong veteran support.

Arizona State University - Tempe is a large school located in Tempe, Arizona that handed out 52 masters’s music degrees in 2020-2021.

Texas Christian University is a fairly large school located in Fort Worth, Texas that handed out 24 masters’s music degrees in 2020-2021.
