It’s not easy to decide which college to attend when there so many options available for students. College Factual has developed its “Most Well Attended Other Visual Art Major in the Southeast Region” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.
In 2020-2021, 912 people earned their degree in other visual art, making the major the 251st most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, other visual art graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $28,565 and had an average of $18,144 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 199 other visual art graduates with average earnings and debt of $26,049 and $11,416 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Well Attended Other Visual Art Major in the Southeast Region” ranking, we looked at 15 colleges that offer a degree in other visual art. To top this list, a school must have a successful other visual art program that graduates more students in the field than other colleges that offer the same major.

Out of the 15 schools in the Most Well Attended Other Visual Art Major in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, John Tyler Community College landed the #1 spot on the list. John Tyler Community College is located in Chester, Virginia and, has a medium-sized student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 74 ’s other visual art degrees to qualified students.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Clemson University. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Well Attended Other Visual Art Major in the Southeast Region list. Clemson is a large public school situated in Clemson, South Carolina. It awarded 27 ’s other visual art degrees in 2020-2021.
With a freshman retention rate of 94%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its undergraduate students. The low undergrad student loan default rate of 1.7% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. For comparison, the national default rate is 10.1%.

Tidewater Community College is a fairly large public school situated in Norfolk, Virginia. It awarded 21 ’s other visual art degrees in 2020-2021.
Out of the 15 schools in the Most Well Attended Other Visual Art Major in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of South Florida - Main Campus landed the #4 spot on the list. Located in Tampa, Florida, this large public school handed out 15 degrees to qualified ’s other visual art students in 2020-2021.
The low undergrad student loan default rate of 3.3% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. For comparison, the national default rate is 10.1%. With a freshman retention rate of 92%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its undergraduate students.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Duke University. The school came in at #5 for the Most Well Attended Other Visual Art Major in the Southeast Region. Duke is a fairly large private not-for-profit school situated in Durham, North Carolina. It awarded 12 ’s other visual art degrees in 2020-2021.
The undergrad student loan default rate at the school is 0.3%, which is quite low when compared to the national default rate of 10.1%. With a undergrad student-to-faculty ratio of 6 to 1, it’s easy to see that the school is committed to helping their undergraduates succeed. The school has an excellent freshman retention rate of 97%, which means students like the school well enough to return for a second year.
Grambling State University landed the #6 spot on the 2023 Most Well Attended Other Visual Art Major in the Southeast Region ranking. Grambling, Louisiana is the setting for this medium-sized institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s other visual art degrees to 11 students in 2020-2021.
